ROXY MUSIC - 1972 S/T DEBUT LP VINYL 1ST UK PRESS - VG MEDIA, VG+ SLEEVE
This Roxy Music's self titled debut album has been play tested and it plays through without any skips or jumps. However, there is a fair amount of surface noise throughout, which is more noticeable in some areas than others (although note that I have a high end Rega Ania cartridge which extracts a lot of detail but conversely many say it highlights surface noise more than other cartridges). Having researched a lot about the 1st UK presses I believe that this surface noise is fairly common. Hence I would grade the media honestly as VG. Some passages of audio sound are very clear in terms of the mix and the recording quality, whereas some areas are slightly less clear and a bit more muffled perhaps, to my ears, which again I understand is common for this UK pressing.
Visually the media has a few surface marks and I have cleaned it on my Project VC record cleaner. Labels are tidy.
The glossy gatefold sleeve is very close to "NM -" condition only with the small exception of a very very feint small pink staining (about an inch) on the back cover in the bottom right hand corner which you can hopefully see on one of the pictures. Hence I am very conservatively grading it as VG+. The edge wear is absolutely minimal and and no seam splits or tears.
