Description

Up for auction is a nice original U.K. pressing of the Roxy Music album Stranded, originally released on Island Records (ILPS 9252) in 1973:
-Guaranteed original pressing, NOT reissue -Original "pink rim" Island labels -A3/B1 matrix stampers -Original laminated gatefold cover
-Original blue Island poly-lined inner sleeve -NO UPC/bar code on cover
Note: The audio quality of these original U.K. pressings is noticeably superior to the U.S. ATCO pressings that are so common on eBay.  And these glossy covers are much cooler, too.

Condition: Cover look great, still retains its beautiful glossy shine, no signs of rubbing wear, ring wear or seam splits.  Clean.  Has just a little bit of typical wavy-ness you'll find on these original U.K. sleeves.  Corners sharp.  Nice original! Grade: Near Mint Minus (NM-)
Vinyl is nice, still retains much of its original shine.  Under a strong light, shows a few superficial hairlines and tiny marks, paper scuffing--nothing serious or deep--nothing that should affect playback.  Labels are clean.  Looks like this record has been played a few times but handled with care. 

Spot-tested: Has a little typical pressing noise on run-in grooves but once the music kicks in, it fades away, and the sound quality is excellent, no noticeable distortions.  Nice play copy! Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+)
