Without Brian Eno, Roxy Music immediately became less experimental, yet remained adventurous, as Stranded illustrates.
Under the direction of Bryan Ferry, Roxy moved toward relatively straightforward territory, adding greater layers of piano and heavy guitars. Even without the washes of Eno's synthesizers, Roxy's music remains unsettling on occasion, yet in this new incarnation, they favour more measured material, whether it's the reflective "A Song for Europe" or the shifting textures of "Psalm."
Even the rockers, such as the surging "Street Life" and the segmented "Mother of Pearl," are distinguished by subtle songwriting that emphasises both Ferry's tortured glamour and Roxy's increasingly impressive grasp of sonic detail

Side 1: Street Life / Just Like You / Amazona / Psalm
Side 2: Serenade / A Song For Europe / Mother Of Pearl / Sunset

LABELS: NEAR MINT
Clean, bright and unmarked labels - light spindle traces
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT+
Both surfaces shine like new - some superficial hairlines - of no audio consequence
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT
Superb sound quality - crystal clear, clean, bright and fresh and my play-check at loud volume found no major audio issues of note - just the (very) occasional static tick (incredibly minor and non-intrusive - this is one of the cleanest sounding copies I have heard in a while)
SLEEVE: NEAR MINT
The deeply glossy gatefold has a glass-like finish to both the outer and inner surfaces with just a little record impression. The edges and spine show no storage wear - a fine example
