Summer Samba (Samba De Verao) b/w Bahama Sound

 

Original, 1st and only pressing released in 1966 on Parlophone, UK. According to the Doug Payne web site (the only one with some data), this is Roy Budd with an unknown bassist and drummer. And this is his second 45, which contains the only recordings he had officially released as a trio in the 60s. The flipside features a version of George Martin's Bahama Sound, quite unusual indeed. While the A-side opens with a killer version of the Valle Brothers' masterpiece Samba De Verao. This is UK bossa-jazz at its finest (and on 45)! Never reissued in any format since its initial release in 1966, this copy is in mind-blowing condition. Truly fantabulous addition to producers, compilers, DJs and UK jazz collectors!
