Roy Orbison - Lonely And Blue - Monument M 4002 - 1961 - First Pressing - Mono - LP Album -  Vinyl - Only The Lonely - Blue Angel - Cry

ROY ORBISON
ORIGINAL 1961 LP ALBUM
MONUMENT RECORDS - M 4002 - MONO

For your consideration is a clean, original, vintage copy of Roy Orbison's first LP record album on  Monument Records. Orbison was initiated into the second class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in  1987 by longtime admirer Bruce Springsteen. The same year he was inducted into the Nashville  Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame two years later. Orbison's powerful,  impassioned voice, complex musical arrangements and dark emotional ballads led many critics to refer  to his music as operatic, giving him the title "the Caruso of Rock"

This is the original first Mono pressing on the Monument White/Gold label that I obtained from an  elderly woman who was the original owner ... she had purchased the LP in 1961 ... it's been very well- cared for and in protected storage for over 40 years, resulting in a clean, collectible copy of this highly  desirable record.

Condition is super nice ... the jacket is tight, flat, glossy and bright with no seam splits, writing, stains  or tears  ... some slight rubbing and a light crease barely viable on the left-hand side of the black  colored front cover ... the back cover is still bright white with some very faint ring-wear on it's top edge  and a light red store stamp ... the vinyl is  flat, shiny and super-clean, it's obviously been handled very  carefully, infrequently played, and looks almost new ... please excuse any camera glare and my reflections in the photos of the vinyl ... the label is free of any writing or stickers and  shows no spindle wear ... overall, I would conservatively grade the jacket at VG+ and the vinyl at NM- ...  please carefully review all the detailed images provided ... record will be shipped in a protective poly- sleeve with the vinyl outside the cardboard jacket in a plain white paper sleeve and bubble wrap inside a  heavy-duty cardboard mailer  ... a clean, collectible copy carefully and securely packaged to insure safe  FREE Media Mail shipping with no damage.

Shipping by USPS Media Mail is FREE in the U.S. only ... 1st Class International shipping to be  calculated.
