Description
- A mono, 33 1/3 rpm, vinyl LP, "Rubber Soul" by The Beatles.
- Released in 1965 on Parlophone
- This is the 6th studio album from the band. It was recorded in October and November, 1965 (apart from 'Wait', recorded in June), and released in December of the same year. Recorded at EMI Studios (Abbey Road), London.
- Produced by George Martin
- The sleeve has a 'stretched' shot of the band on the cover, by Robert Freeman, with the title in distinctive lettering, designed by Charles Front. The back has a full track listing, with vocal credits and additional instrumental credits, and b & w photos of individual members of the band (2 each) also by Robert Freeman. There is an advert for 'Emitex' cleaning material. Printed and made by Ernest J. Day Ltd, with a laminated front cover and flipbacks.
- Plain, white paper, replacement inner sleeve.
- This release has the following distinguishing features:
- 'Printed and made by 'Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd.' on the downmost part of the back cover;
- Track listing on labels in a serif typeface;
- Runouts ending -4 (indicating the second lacquer cut, as opposed to the 'loud' cut used on the earliest pressings).
- Issued in a front-laminated 'flipback' cover. Includes a 'USE 'EMITEX' poly-lined inner sleeve.
- Runouts are stamped. No tax code letters.
- Black label with yellow 'Parlophone' and trade mark.

- The vinyl is G+ with quite a few noticeable scratches. Slight pops and some surface noise throughout, although as a mono recording it's not obtrusive. The record plays without skipping or sticking.
- The sleeve is G+, front cover has some creasing in the laminate. A 1 inch chunk of the flipback is missing above the cat. no. Some handling marks and some slight edge wear.
- The inner sleeve is very good and unmarked and undamaged. It is, however, a replacement
