French human breakcore prism Ruby My Dear has been confounding listeners since the early 2010s with an unrelenting decoupage of tokking hardcore beats and stuttering, sample-happy IDM fare. On 2018's Brame LP came 'Asile A La Plage' - where spitting, power-packed snares teemed with tempo-unleashed life - and now the beachside theme continues with an entire album dedicated to that very same fantasy, Confiture A La Plage (Jam On The Beach). Frequency-modded and ungirded growls sound like mayhem-causing beat beasts on 'Grosse Hyene' and 'Plein De Moi', proving the aforementioned refuge to be an illusory one; you're never free from breakcore predation. Further, 'Tropique Hotel' hardly sounds like a place to kick your feet up, its high-motion machine march and retching machine gun fire coming interspersed with French exclamatory shouts and rabbit-hole decrescendos.
