Description
After Vienna's very own Sex Pistols-impersonators DIRT SHIT (possibly the most outrageous Punk-band in Austria's history) came to a sudden halt in early 1980 drummer Ronnie Urini joined several influential Wave-bands of the day like the Vogue, RPB, Underground Corpses, Willi Warma or Standart Oil. In 1981 he resorted with Dirt Shit-bassman Bernie Bedenklich to form the highly original Mod/NDW/Cow-Punk-Trio RUCKI ZUCKI PALMENCOMBO. The band made some novelty singles that actually managed to hit the Ö3-pop-charts before they hired Austropop-allrounder Wilfried Scheutz (Ex-Hide & Seek, Ex-EAV, Ex-Crazy Baby) to produce a full-length LP with them. In March 1983 Amadeo Records released 'Ruck N Zuck!', a great fun-fuelled mix of Rock-N-Roll and Neue Österreichische Welle, really unique stuff. In its original form the LP became a notable rarity over the years. What you get here is the original testpressing with the original production-notes from February, 2nd 1983.
It's quite unlikely that more than 10 copies of this 'Unverkäufliche Musterplatte' were pressed back then. Vinyl has some tiny hairlines but looks good overall. For the sound please check the sound samples. The LP comes with the original plastic sleeve together with the production-sheet (a plain piece of photocopied paper of 210 mm × 297 mm size). File under 1980s Austro-Punk, Austro-Pop, NDW, Neue Österreichische Welle, New Wave, Cowpunk, Neo-Mod, Garage Punk Revival...
A VERY RARE ITEM AND A UNIQUE PIECE OF AUSTRIAN UNDERGROUND POP AND PUNK HISTORY!
