Description

RUGGIERO RICCI / PAGANINI - " 24 CAPRICES ", The Decca Record Company Ltd (SXL 2194) Stereo, 1960.

Very rare, 1960s, English Decca LP - this is the 3rd edition with the "MADE IN ENGLAND BY" label text on a, wideband label and front laminated sleeve. Not quite as rare/valuable as the 1st pressings, but with them selling for anything up to £500 GBP this could be a relative bargain for what's still a beautifully pressed, 1960s Decca LP.

Pressed in England.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner sleeve has also been retained and included in the auction - see photo).

CONDITION:

VINYL =  EXCELLENT  (No scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, barely a spindle trail, etc. In normal daylight the vinyl appears perfectly clean, under a bright grading lamp I can make out some paper scuffs and a couple of extremel faint hairline marks - although these are purely visual and during playback, these very slight cosmetic flaws don't correspond directly to any audible defects.
On playback, there is some faint surface noise during the silent run-in (in the pressing) which disappears as soon as the music starts. It plays really well - strong, clean and without interuptions.

Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)

SLEEVE = EX-(No rips, tears, defacing, etc. Still flat and clean, just marked down slightly for some tiny creases in the laminate along the spine and for the fact it's not quite as perefectly bright white as it once was - see photos for further clarification)

NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records. Before bidding, please read my description carefully, decide how much this record is worth to you and place you max bid accordingly. Please also feel free to check out my feedback from the many other successful transactions I have made in the past.

ANY QUESTIONS? PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO GET IN TOUCH!

HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!
