Rare Full Robert Ludwig Cut with the Inscription "MASTERDISK RL" in BOTH Runouts!
(I know I only have a photo of the Side 1 runout inscription, but this is simply because I am horrible at photographing runout inscriptions and could only pull off the one - I assure you, they are both there!)

At this point Robert Ludwig really needs no introduction, as it is pretty much accepted as fact by audiophiles the world over that no other mastering engineer could make an album sound both so heavy yet so clean and crisp as those graced by Bob's famous "RL", and this LP is no exception!

Almost always found either with Ludwig's work only on Side 2 (and that of fellow Masterdisk engineer Lee Hulko on Side 1), or without an "RL" on either side. For sale here is the rarest and most desirable of all variations of this great LP - an absolute first US pressing with Ludwig's initials (and incredible mastering work) on both sides. Folks, it is a pressing like this that reminds us why we love vinyl!

CONDITION OF THE ALBUM:

I grade the disc as Excellent (EX).

Still nice and glossy, and undoubtedly played very little.

Under strong and direct light I see only a couple of light hairlines and one extremely faint scratch on Side. It is not feelable, and in fact barely visible, sort of fading in and out with the light at different angles. For the most part I'm grading this one real conservatively - it's a beaut!

I grade the jacket as Very Good (VG).

Really the only thing wrong with the jacket is the relatively small tape tear on the back, in the top-left corner. If not for that it would be an easy EX, with nothing but some minor creasing and a few harmless fingerprints that will wipe right off.

I encourage you to study all of my photos thoroughly for the best idea of the jacket’s condition.

The jacket will be placed in a protective plastic outer sleeve. 

The original inner sleeve is included and I grade it as Excellent (EX).

In very much the same condition as the jacket, minus the tape tear!

The disc will be placed in a new replacement inner sleeve to prevent damage to this original inner sleeve while in transit.

Although I selected the "No Returns Accepted" policy for this listing, please note that this is not correct, and that this item can be returned. However, the return process must be initiated within three calendar days of the delivery of your item (all shipments are tracked, and so I can see the exact minute that your item was delivered). You must pay the return shipping. Once I receive your returned package and verify that it is A) the same item which I shipped to you and B) in the same condition as I shipped it out, then I will refund your initial purchase price plus what you initially paid to have it shipped. Return shipping will not be refunded. In the event that you attempt to scam me and send an item of lesser value in place of the item originally transacted for, you will receive no refund whatsoever. In the event you mishandle or fail to properly pack the item (I will provide specific packaging instructions), and it is damaged either in your hands or in transit, the adjusted value of this now lesser-condition item will be reflected in your refund - after all, it is now worth less!

The reason that I have not selected one of eBay's cookie-cutter return policies is that the smallest window of time over which I can choose to accept returns is a whopping 14 days, and there is no way in hell it should take you two weeks to figure out whether or not the item you purchased matches the description I provided. I am more than willing to assume responsibility in the event that I have failed to correctly describe an item or package it safely, but I also want to avoid holding a payment in PayPal for weeks after the initial sale, only to have a buyer finally get around to opening the package and filing a complaint on the 14th day of this unnecessarily long grace period. I make sure to get your package out as quickly as possible, and it's only fair that you confirm everything is okay on your end in a timely manner as well. I don't want to have to wait around for two weeks after I see a package has been delivered yet no feedback has been left, wondering if I'm going to be hit with a complaint. Frankly it is in both of our best interests if you check your packages as soon as possible - after all, you'll be refunded much quicker!

Lastly, I will never except the return of an album which was sold and shipped sealed, and then opened by the buyer - even if the disc inside was presumed to be Mint and, by some stroke of rare bad luck, turned out to be in lesser condition. I have no reason to expect a sealed disc to be anything less than Mint, but there are exceptions to every norm, and this is something you should consider. However, in the event you purchase a sealed album from me and are able to discern without opening it that it is not factory-sealed, but was actually re-sealed by a third party, then please contact me and state your case!

If you find these terms unreasonable, then don't buy!

All records are shipped in genuine cardboard record mailers. The disc will be placed in a new liner and packaged outside the jacket (but within the plastic outer sleeve) so as to prevent splits. Original liners (if included) will be kept inside the jackets, as will any inserts. The album will be surrounded by three sheets of 12” by 12” bubble wrap (two sheets over the disc). Shipping info is always typed up and printed out – we don’t take chances with shoddy, hand-written addresses! The box will be sealed with and the address sheet will be affixed by lots of Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Tape.

All payments must be made by PayPal. You may pay by debit, credit, or e-check, but must use the PayPal website to do so.

Payment must be made within 48 hours of purchase/auction’s end. 

Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up. Do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
