Description
I consider this to be an overall VG+ used copy of this album. I use the Goldmine Record Grading guide to determine the condition of my vinyl records.
I purchased this record brand new, and it has been shelved in my personal vinyl collection for 40+ years.
Rush – Moving Pictures (1981) Mercury – SRM-1-4013 Presswell pressing, per "(PR) in matrix, with red font on inner sleeve and no barcode Matrix / Runout (Side A runout etched, Masterdisk stamped, variant 3): SRM-1-4013-AS-PW1 MASTERDISK RL (PR) Matrix / Runout (Side B runout etched, Masterdisk stamped, variant 3): SRM-1-4013-BS-PW MASTERDISK RL (PR)P
The vinyl record is in VG condition and sounds good while playing on my Fluance turntable. There is one very small nick on Side 2 (halfway through "Vital Signs") that causes a slight pop for a few rotations. Otherwise, this record sounds and looks in VG+ condition.
The cover (cardboard jacket) is VG with some light fraying on corners and some light creasing. Its spine is unbroken with some light wear. There is relatively light ring wear.
The inlay (inner sleeve) is VG+ condition. It's a stiffer inner sleeve and there are no splits on any seams. There is a small area where a Sharpie marker was used to blackout my name (see picture with yellow circle), which I regrettably wrote on it when I was much younger.
The original inner sleeve will be slid into the cardboard jacket but without the vinyl record to keep the original inner sleeve as it was before shipment. I will put the vinyl record in a new paper sleeve. The jacket and vinyl will then be slipped into a plastic sleeve separately.
The record will be shipped in a vinyl record LP shipping mailer box. I will also pay for shipping and will use USPS Ground Advantage, not Media Mail.
