Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYL   EX+ STRONG   INCREDIBLE  CONDITION

As you can see, this vinyl is the highly prized early //2 //1 pressing with the MATT BLUE LABELS & DEAD WAX  ETCHINGS - Stored from new this LP has seen possibly a couple of plays only, and remains in pristine condition everywhere.

This 1980 pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all, let alone like this.

There are some light spider lines around the centre hole, but  no wear to the spindle hole whatsoever.

There are some whisp lines, and a couple of light hairlines that do not sound - and thats it-  nothing else!  Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..IT REMAINS IN ASTONISHING CONDITION.

On playing through we heard nothing bar the tiniest of lead in static in the dead grooves and the off static along the way in a few places -nothing to worry over - NO jumps skips pops or distortion..it sounds like new as it could be!

A professional hoover clean will remedy the dust and any anomolies..it really is a cracking vinyl this.

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

THE LABELS   MINT  FLAT MATT LABELS

THE SLEEVE     EX STRONG

Correct RARE FLAT MATT  first UK issued earliest sleeve  - Most copies you'll see will be glossy thin sleeves, and one of several coloured radar lines along the top- the firsdt edition, this one, is RED.. (We ocassionally see yellow, blue and white radar lines on the later sleeves )

this sleeve was the quickly deleted flat matt UK sleeve -it does not have the 'Truman' newspaper titles on it -these were only on the foreign copies (Canada etc) . Not on these ones.

 This is in super condition with hardly any wear at all. The black matt finish 'frame edge' being so hard to keep from wear-

The edges are all super clean with no white rubbing, just a few light spider liens and there are a couple of dinks on the edge tips top and bottom of three sides.

No powdery white ringwear - some very light ring press bottom front, and all edges are super crisp. One light crease on the front top edge

the lightest of tip rub &  a couple of  spider lines over the edge of the spine, The spine edge is totally unmarked with no wear, just 4 tiny pinch lines!

The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition -superb.

Due to it's rarity, this sleeve really is a find..we hardly ever see the MATT finish ones.. so we cannot rate this find high enough!

THE INNER SLEEVE   MINT- 

RARE THICK CARD ORIGINAL INNER..Not like the later thin glossy paper inners..this is the correct inner only for the first edition sleeves.  NO DAMAGE, IMMACULATE!
