HUGELY RESPECTED Canadian prog trio who really peaked with this album - in fact for true die-hard Rush fans it was the final album before they started tinkering with the sound and getting into a modern pop rock idiom. This album has truly incredible tracks including 'The Spirit Of Radio', 'Freewill', 'Jacob's Ladder' and 'Natural Science' a brilliantly evocative 9 minute plus epic.
This is the rare version with the withdrawn UK cover - later versions have the newspaper headline blanked out.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.
Pressing: Mercury, UK, 1980
Vinyl: Nice clean and shiny condition. No spindle marks on labels and no other signs of use. Grades as almost shop fresh MINT-!
Cover: Practically no signs of use. Issued in a beautifully designed cover by Hugh Syme - this is the rare version with the Newspaper headline that was subsequently blanked out soon after the 1st pressings hit the stores. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Displays just a hint of storage wear - nothing to worry about. Spine is stiff, square and totally uncrushed. Grades as top MINT-!
