Ruth Copeland-I Am What I Am, Invictus Records, SMAS 9802, 1971. Righteous LP from this long forgotten singer with heavy Funkadelic involvement. Eddie Hazel, Bernard Worrell, and George Clinton are all over this one. Features an unstoppable drum break and twisted psych-funk on “Suburban Family Lament” and six others including the Copeland and Clinton penned jam “Don’t You Wish You Had (What You Had When You Had It)”… Super cool tri-fold gatefold sleeve in amazing shape.
