Description
This is an ORIGINAL 1971 INVICTUS RECORDS U.S. LP titled 'I Am What I Am' from Ruth Copeland, a heavy funk record with accompaniment from, among others, P-Funk members Eddie Hazel and Bernie Worrell, with assistance from George Clinton also mentioned in the album credits. it is Invictus Records U.S. catalog number SMAS-9802, with nice double gatefold foldout cover as shown in my accompanying images. Record comes packaged inside the cover in a plain white paper inner sleeve.
Please see my accompanying back cover image for the track listing and other information.
This record is a bit of an ugly duckling condition wise, but it is an economical option for obtaining a listenable original copy of this LP without breaking the bank if you don't mind some crackly surface noise, my selling price is about half of what this LP normally goes for on eBay in VG+ or better condition - Visual condition of record is about VG-/VG with a fair amount of surface marks and surface scratches, none of which can be felt - Record plays with some crackly surface noise throughout, this does not overwhelm the music, does not cause any skips, and still allows for a satisfying listening experience - outside of the surface noise the music plays loud and clear. Condition of double gatefold cover is VG+ with the entire cover solidly in one piece with all joints fully intact; back cover has a light rubber stamp and a diagonal light impression from a blade at its lower left corner, cover also has some ring and contact wear and some wear along its edges and on its corners.
This scarce LP is a sought after collectable among P-Funk fans - It would make a choice addition to any R&B / funk or P-Funk related record collection!
$5.50 SHIPPING via USPS Media Mail. Shipping to areas outside the U.S. via eBay international shipping. BUYER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the LP in the above stated condition if buyer is dissatisfied for any reason.
