Ruth Copeland I Am What I Am Invictus SMAS9802
Signed concurrently with Parliament to the Invictus label, Copeland was a British singer/musician/producer/songwriter who forged an unlikely but immediate friendship with George Clinton that resulted in their working together on both her and his recordings in the early 70’s. This is her second lp, and the stronger of the two, with the cult classic psych soul of “Suburban Family Lament” as well as two Stones covers (“Gimme Shelter” and “Play with Fire”) and even “Hare Krishna”! And, yes, she is backed up by none other than the full Funkadelic crew... imagine what Eddie Hazel and Bernie Worrell can do with this material!

After a hiatus, during which we moved and built our Permanentrecords library/vault/watering hole, we are finally up and running as an Ebay seller again. Welcome back to all our old friends and hello to new ones. We’re going to try things a bit differently this time. We will still feature great, rare, obscure, strange and little-known vinyl, but we’ve decided on no reserves and a very low opening bid on even the choicest stuff. We’re hoping that this will keep you coming back to us for the chance at some genuine bargains and maybe even steals, as we allow each item to find its natural price. We are also hoping to expand into some of our other interests in the near future, like vintage clothes and books. We will of course still try to maintain the same high standards of service and customer satisfaction. Good hunting!
