VG or Very Good : Some surface noise will be noticeable in quiter passages but will not overpower the music. The cover may have writing, tape or stickers, but not all three.

G or Good : Good doesn't mean bad it just means the album can play through without skipping, but there will be significant surface noise or detectable scratches. The cover may have splits, writing, tape,or stickers on it.
