shellac disks 8556/58. Electrifying world premiere(1935)
recording starring super virtuoso pianist Rachmaninoff
in a work that was to become (along with his 2nd
and 3rd piano concertos) among the most popular
works in his entire canon.

From the private collection of R. Peter Munves, who was in the record business as well as an avid collector for over 50 years and has decided to part with his beloved collection. All albums are from the late 20’s to early 40’s, and many are original, 1st editions containing pristine pressings from the golden age of 78’s. This collection consists of a nearly complete run of RCA Victor Musical Masterpiece Albums and Columbia Masterworks Album Sets. Our listings are drawn from this extensive collection.
