Description

One of the  rarest category of Radio Shows is the American Forces Radio and Television Service offerings.  These lp's were pressed for military radio stations all over the world.  I used to listen to AFRTS exclusively in Viet Nam.  It kept us closer to home listening to our music while in the worst of conditions.  AFRTS stations existed in the most desolate war torn areas and the lonliest.  They were on board aircraft carriers.  It was a morale builder service of our government to ensure that everyone had the best of music popular and played on stations back home.     The way they most often did this was by pressing lp's with current 45's of the day and pressing popular album of the time.  They rarely pressed the whole album - usually picking one sided.  The other side of the lp would be a side of another artists album.  They were pressed on beautiful vinyl.  the label was white with the American Forces Radio and Television service in bold black letters with red lines through them.  Each side had its contents, the record number seals of the Department of  Defence and AFRTS.  It is a very attractive offering,           This lp features Michael Jackson on one side from his One Day In your Life album.  The other side features Pheobe Snow  from her Rock Away album.  the lp is #P-19855   and is RL 18-1. Here is what you will hear:  From Michael Jackson,     Don't Say goodbye Again,       You're My Best Friend My Love,         Take Me Back,            It's Too Late To change the time,         You Are There.                 On the Phelbe Snow side, you will hear    Cheap Thrills,           Baby Please,        Rock Away,          Mercy Mercy Mercy,             and Shoo Rah shoo Rah.                YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS THIS ONE!!!!!           This show is a piece of radio history.  You just aren't going to find these shows anymore.  Think of what they will be worth in a few years!  (IF you wanted to sell.)  I am selling to share with other music lovers what I was able to get at a reasonable price; in fact, believe it or not, I paid a lot more than you will.    As always, I charge only shipping on the first show you buy for U.S. buyers and discount the shipping for my international friends,  so the more you buy the more money you will save.  Good Luck and God Bless You.
