Description
If you want a really classic show and one of my absolute rarest and very favorites, then you have come to the right place. THIS DR DEMENTO SHOW IS UNIQUE AND MOST OF YOU, EVEN DR. DEMENTO COLLECTORS WILL NOT HAVE WHAT THIS SHOW CONTAINS. Now, I'm not going to go into a long song and dance telling you about the great Dr Demento and his show which has aired continuously since the early days in Van Nuys. If you are reading this listing, you know all that. Well, this show comes from my special collection and is a genuine collector's item. NOT ONLY IS THERE A HALF HOUR SEGMENT DEDICATED TO FRANK ZAPPA WHO IS THE SPECIAL GUEST - BUT THE SHOW COMES IN ITS ORIGINAL MAILING BOX FROM WESTWOOD ONE TO THE AIRING STATION ALONG WITH ALL THE ASSORTED MAILINGS - The Satellite schedules for the Westwood One shows, and a mailing envelope to sent the Certificate of Performance back to Westwood One. This is the entire package which I have never seen before on ebay although I don't know for sure. I do know that this show is special and you can have it for your collection. Here is the lineup for this show #88-07 which aired on February 13, 1988. The discs are in perfect condition as are the cue sheets. It is as if the show was aired, put back in its packing box and never opened again for 21 and a half years. WHAT A SHOW!!!!!!! You just aren't going to find these shows anymore. Think of what they will be worth in a few years! (IF you wanted to sell.) I am selling to share with other music lovers what I was able to get at a reasonable price. I am saving a few of each series of shows I have just to have examples of every show possible, and sharing the rest with you for very reasonable prices. Even the commercials are great! Here they are: Clorets, and Dentyne Some people buy the shows for the commercials they collect! Either way, it is a great show and would be a valuable addition to your collection. Remember that these shows are disappearing from the market because they are no longer available. The lp shows have not been made since the early 90's and they have the truest fidelity as you know if you are an audiophile. Even the CD shows are now only available in limited distribution as distributors attempt to force stations into accepting downloads which stations do not like but ultimately give in and take. So, the days of unique shows not copied from the soundboard of a station and sold as such are gone. This is all there is and will be. It is said that selling radio shows is a vanishing hobby. Well, I still sell Betamax machines so that is not true, but it is true that they will become rarer and harder to find so grab them now while the prices are still reasonable. As always, I charge only shipping on the first show you buy for U.S. buyers and discount the shipping for my international friends, so the more you buy the more money you will save. Good Luck and God Bless You.
