Description

This auction includes the double 10" vinyl release for both Kid A and Amnesiac by Radiohead. Each album contains 2 records (4 records total) and plays at 33rpm.

Condition:

All records and sleeves are free from any defect and play perfectly. Each album has been played twice. I am also including 10" protective outer sleeves so you can keep the records and packaging pristine.

So why am I selling this? Well, I've slipped into the next level of record collecting where I must own original pressings... That's right... paying $100 or more for a single album. If you still retain normal brain function and enjoy music for the music, then take advantage of my OCD.

Pressings:

So here's what you need to know: When XL first acquired the rights to Radiohead's discography, they began shipping leftover stock from Capitol and Parlophone. Kid A records arrived with Capitol records inside, while Amnesiac arrived in Capitol packaging but with PARLOPHONE records inside (This was only done for a short time and XL has now released both albums as 12" standard vinyl releases). This is why you'll see in my pictures that the back of Amnesiac's packaging says "Capitol" but the records have the "Parlophone" logo on them.

Essentially, XL used the European EU 2012 pressings for each album. So this Capitol pressing of Kid A sounds excellent and is much better than the 2008 US Capitol pressings that were pressed and pressed until they sounded terrible.

And Amnesiac... Dear god... Amnesiac sounds absolutely phenomenal. You and Whose Army?, Pyramid Song, Life in a Glass House... The entire album just jumps out at you as if the band were in the room. Thom's vocals have never sounded so... near. The bass on Packt Like Sardines is unbelievably punchy. The guitar on Knives Out... words do no justice.

Kid A and Amnesiac are no longer issued on 10" vinyl and these records are now Out Of Print.

Enjoy!
