Description

"OK Computer" is the third studio album by the English alternative rock band Radiohead, released on 16 June 1997 on Parlophone in the UK and 1 July 1997 by Capital Records in the US. It marks a deliberate attempt by the band to move away from the introspective guitar-oriented  sound of their previous album, "The Bends". Its layered sound and wide range of influences set it apart from many of the Britpop and alternative rock bands popular at the time and laid the groundwork for Radiohead's later, more experimental work. "OK Computer" was the first self-produced Radiohead album, with assistance from Nigel Godrich. Radiohead recorded the album in Oxfordshire and Bath between 1996 and early 1997. "OK Computer" reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and became Radiohead's highest album entry on the American charts at the time, debuting at #21 on the Billboard 200. Three singles; "Paranoid Android", "Karma Police" and "No Surprises" were released in promotion of the album. It received critical acclaim at its release and is frquently cited by critics as one of the greatest albums ever recorded. UK NODATA 02. I am also including the Original US Capital Records Bio Letter with the Official 8x10 Promo Picture. I obtained these from a friend of mine who is a "local" DJ here in Honolulu. Please see pic. Record was stored in a heavy duty anvil case since 2006 and comes from a smoke/pet free home. Shipped following business day as soon as payment is received. This is one of the "heaviest" (weight wise) records I have ever owned. The records feel as though they were pressed 200+ grams. Not sure about this though.
