Radiohead THE BENDS 1995 Repress, Parlophone UK Press Vinyl LP 12"
Selling one of my all time fave albums. Sad times but needs must. I bought this in 1995 and LOVED it, so it has been played some, allthough barely in the last 15 years, bar the essential test spin.It has never exchanged hands or been loaned out.
Things to note prospective buyers...
I have spent some time deliberating on the grading but have cleaned (with specialist kit) and test played in preparation for sale and graded VG+ based on discogs guidance notes.
The record plays through well - BUT it is slightly warped - this is mainly noticeable by watching it go round and round (and round) on the turntable - the effect to the sound quality from warping is minimal and only perceptible to my (trained musician) ears in one or two places. There are some slight scratches and scuffs visible on the vinyl, but nothing that affects it playing through on either side. Background noise is limited to between the tracks.
The cover front and back is the glossy version (hence identifiable as the second 1995 UK press) with the pixelated 0 % on inner sleeve and £ on record label. Whilst the front and back are in good condition there is a wear and a split to the centre of the spine - this is clearly illustrated in the pictures and does unfortunately run across the band and album name (by far the worst feature of what is otherwise a well preserved cover with otherwise only minor scuffing to corners and edges). The record labels have minor marks as pictured.
As far as the inlay sleeve goes, again, the front and rear sleeves look great, BUT there is also a split to one side of the inlay sleeve slight scuffing to the outer corners as pictured.
So, lovers, it ain't perfect, but if you are after a very much loved 1995 pressing of The Bends to add to your Radiohead collection, you may well get a bargain.
