Rainbow - Stranger In Us All -Test Pressing Vinyl Record.

TEST PRESSINGS, often known as white label pressings, are copies produced from the masters by the pressing plants in tiny quantities of between ten and thirty copies. These test discs are then sent to the artists and record companies for approval before the main manufacturing is commenced. There were only 10 pressings of this record produced by the pressing plant.

These discs are very rare and much sought after by collectors as these are the working copies intended for the artists and label executives to check that the vinyl mastering process is true to the master tapes. The discs were not created for retail sale as part of a manufacturing run. They are genuine test pressings used at work in the industry by the artists and record labels.

This release features highlights from Rainbow’s legendary concert from Teatro Monumental, Santiago, Chile, on 27 June 1996.

This astonishing, bravura performance is the definitive proof of just how good Rainbow could be onstage. The Stranger In Us All line-up featured Doogie White on vocals and was a huge hit with fans. This powerful high energy set featured Ritchie Blackmore at his very best. The setlist combined classic tracks from both the Rainbow and Deep Purple back catalogues.
