Description

Up for sale is “Brand New Country Songs”, King LP 1028, by Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys.  This was the first record Ralph recorded five months after his brother Carter Stanley died.
Larry Sparks was chosen to replace Carter who went on to have a fine career of his own after leaving the band after his last recording in 1969.  He was replaced by Roy Lee Centers whose first recording was in 1970.
It was recorded at King Studios in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 19, 1967 and Oct 24, 1967, engineered by L. Innis.

The record and cover are in mint condition.
