Description
An original early 80's Nimbus Supercut of 'Little Criminals'. Matrix A1/B1. Etching "Nimbus England". The vinyl comes housed in an original cover with the brown supercut sticker attached in the top-right corner. Also included is the original inner sleeve with patent information. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Wow, this is a spectacular looking slab of vinyl, and very sought after limited edition super-cut. Bearing in mind that this is an expensive audiophile pressing I have taken great care with handling and inspection of this LP. The LP is totally flat and there are no signs of hidden issues anywhere. The surfaces are pristine clean and there's no evidence of use...and I'm including low-level evidence in the equation. OK, so all good so far..but what about playback? Well, I did one and only one audition and listened intently from start to finish. What I can guarantee you is that you can HEAR the audio quality clearly [pardon the pun!]. Fantastic levels of reproduction with all frequencies rendered perfectly and every instrument and positioning believable and realistic. What is also noticeable is the SILENCE behind the audio. This LP has been cut with precision high-quality equipment and pressed on high-quality vinyl. It gives off a beautiful clean rendition which is, to say the least, highly impressive. I really couldn't detect the slightest whiff of interference anywhere from start to finish. I will do my usual catch-all...you may detect a solitary crackle in a couple of isolated spots...But you'd have done well to even pick that out! It's probably the cleanest LP I've ever played/heard. An unreserved "EXCELLENT+" level all the way though. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition and certainly has a nice newish feel to it. If I were to pick out one thing which stops it getting the top grade it's the crease in the top left - that's really all that's vaguely worth mentioning. All surfaces are flat and very clean. There's no sign of surface wear or hidden issues. Edge wear is very slight indeed and the openings are still sharp. The Supercut sticker on the front is clean and stuck down firmly without curling. The spine is almost entirely intact with just a couple of minuscule wear spots. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
