As I said, ALL examples of this picture disc are UNPLAYABLE
because of the material they were using at the time they were made.
According to Paul and Fabrizio book (Discovering Antique Phonographs 1877-1929): The earliest Pathé disc record had a fragile wax recorded surface laminated to a sturdy backing of composed material resembling concrete. Pathé discs were single-faced, like disc records the world-over in 1906. Pathé, however, was unique in adding colorful imagery to the non-playing side of its records.
All examples of this beautiful Pathe Picture Records that have survived are UNPLAYABLE.
These are very sought after by collectors.

On Nov-20-06 at 06:55:06 PST, seller added the following information:These records proved to be unsuccessfull and very few of them survived today. The ones that do exist, are unplayable because of the wax coating that crackles severely probably because of the 2 different chemicals used to make them (wax and cement base). The expansion coefficients being different from one material to the other, they invariably crackle and flake. Bid for the beauty of the printed side only, my grading being for the PRINTED side only.
