One of only a few left in existence!

Songs for John Doe by the Almanac Singers. 

Release date was early May 1941

This album was actually released by Keynote records though the owner insisted that because of its controversial nature it be paid for by the performers and released under their pseudonymous label, Almanac records.   A few days after the album was released, Hitler invaded the Soviet Union. The album was quickly recalled and all but a few copies were destroyed.  The actual album was only available for sale less than 2 months. 

A fantastic piece of Leftist Communist American History!

Included- 

All 3 78's appear to be in very good condition. No obvious Damage , what remains of the cover(see pics) and the lyrics insert which is in excellent condition!
