Description

Up for auction is the rare Psych Garage Rock self titled classic by The Remains on Epic Records #LN 24214 from 1966. This is the original mono pressing from 1966 and not a later reissue. Visually graded using Goldmine standards, the vinyl rates a strong VG+ with beautiful shine with some light surface marks and light surface scratches. The jacket is VG with a hole punch, a promotional sticker, some edge wear, and a 2 1/2" split on the top edge starting at the opening. Overall a very nice, solid copy of this hard to find record. It will be shipped in a sturdy record mailer with the sleeve outside the jacket to prevent damage and will come in a protective plastic sleeve. Don't miss out! Please see my other sales for more rare records.
The Remains (sometimes referred to as "Barry and the Remains") were a mid-1960s rock group from Boston, Massachusetts, led by Barry Tashian. Although the Remains never achieved national success, they were very popular in New England, and were one of the opening acts on The Beatles' final US tour in 1966. The Remains is the debut album by the American garage rock band the Remains, and was released on Epic Records in September 26, 1966. Though the album was largely overlooked at the time of its original release, The Remains has since received recognition as one of the more cohesive efforts of the era.
