Description

Up for auction is the extremely rare and sought after 7" 45 RPM "Basement Walls/ Eight Shades of Brown" by The What Fours on Fleetwood Records # FL 4571 from 1967. This is a fantastic, raw garage 7" with fuzz guitar. Visually graded using Goldmine standards, I would rate the vinyl a good+ with surface wear, scuffs and light scratches. I did play both sides through and they played fine with no skips, but does have surface noise and the occasional light pop. It's been awhile since this one has come up for auction in any condition so don't miss out on bidding because you may not see another for some time. The record was recorded at Fleetwood Studios in Revere MA in early 1967 and features Nick Koumoutseas on bass, Mikkel Saks on rhythm guitar, John Bello on drums and Scott Keenan on lead guitar. The correct name of the band was "The What Four" but the label added the "s" by mistake. This band hailed from Tufts University in Medford MA and only released this one single which can be heard on Youtube. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE. Record will be packaged up securely in special record mailer.
