This is the hard to find version on clear vinyl with three rotating colored picture discs designed by artist and designer Robert Rauschenberg. Visually graded using Goldmine standards, the vinyl looks near mint and unplayed and the jacket is excellent with no cracks or issues but has some light yellowing from age. These are getting harder to find so don't miss out!! Low starting bid and no reserve! Will be shipped in a sturdy record mailer.

Speaking in Tongues is the fifth studio album by the band Talking Heads, released in 1983.

The album was a commercial breakthrough that produced the band's first (and only) American Top 10 hit, "Burning Down the House", which was accompanied by a promotional video. The following tour was documented in Jonathan Demme's Stop Making Sense, which generated a live album of the same name. (The concert film and live album's title comes from the repeated phrase "Stop making sense!" during the song "Girlfriend Is Better".) In addition, the album crossed over to the dance charts, peaking at number two for six weeks.

David Byrne designed the cover for the general release of the album. Artist Robert Rauschenberg won a Grammy Award for his work on the limited-edition LP version. This album featured a clear vinyl disc in clear plastic packaging along with three clear plastic discs printed with similar collages in three different colors.

Robert Rauschenberg (October 22, 1925 – May 12, 2008) was an American painter and graphic artist whose early works anticipated the pop art movement. Rauschenberg is well known for his "Combines" of the 1950s, in which non-traditional materials and objects were employed in innovative combinations. Rauschenberg was both a painter and a sculptor and the Combines are a combination of both, but he also worked with photography, printmaking, papermaking, and performance. He was awarded the National Medal of Arts in 1993. He became the recipient of the Leonardo da Vinci World Award of Arts in 1995 in recognition of his more than 40 years of fruitful artmaking.

Rauschenberg lived and worked in New York City as well as on Captiva Island, Florida until his death from heart failure on May 12, 2008. In 1983, he won a Grammy Award for his album design of Talking Heads' album Speaking in Tongues.
