Rare 1986 UK Compilation "You Bet We've Got Something Against You" VG+ w Sonic Youth
VARIOUS ARTISTS - YOU BET WE'VE GOT SOMETHING AGAINST YOU Unearth the darkest corners of the 1980s post-punk and industrial underground with You Bet We’ve Got Something Against You, a legendary 1986 UK compilation masterpiece from Cathexis Recordings. Packed with rare and exclusive tracks, this hyper-collectible LP features a scorching, unreleased live 1985 performance of "World Looks Red" by Sonic Youth, heavy dub production from Adrian Sherwood on Mark Stewart & The Maffia’s "Passcivecation Program," and a legendary collaborative remix from Current 93 featuring John Balance (Coil) and Steven Stapleton (Nurse With Wound). Complete with its famously defiant "Hate 1" and "Hate 2" vinyl labels and housed in its original, minimalist aesthetic sleeve, this compilation is an absolute holy grail for serious collectors of noise, industrial, and avant-garde rock history. 1986 UK import/release by Cathexis Recordings and Pleasantly Surprised, catalog # PS014. Original first pressing of this compilation of various electronic/abstract/industrial/experimental music including Sonic Youth. Sleeve grades VG+. Really good condition overall, maybe a touch of aging discoloration but that kind of leans into the barely painted cardboard sleeve aesthetic. Small "crack"/tear along top seam, though it is not a seam split, just looks like the top layer has come loose in a spot. Some ring wear and a couple light creases most evident on back of cover. Original inner sleeve included. Vinyl grades VG+. Plays through with no issues or deficiencies. Very clean vinyl; just a couple standard hairlines/light marks most visible under direct light/magnification.Rare 1986 UK Compilation "You Bet We've Got Something Against You" VG+ w Sonic Youth
