Description
This is a very rare 3 record set 78 rpm on the U.S. DISC Label #876 called: ALAN HOVHANESS ORCHESTRAL COMPOSITIONS. This set is 12" in large binder, it features ALAN HOVHANESS (composer conductor) with soloist: MARO AJEMIAN piano, ANAHID AJEMIAN violin, & PHILLIP KAPLAN flute. The binder is in nice condition with browning, light wear, and a small tearing on the top and bottom corners of spine. Spine print is very good, The DAVID STONE MARTIN cover art is hard to find , he did more jazz album covers than classical sets. The blue color is vibrant with No fading, inside the front cover are notes, a photo and 2 signatures. The 3 thick paper sleeves have no splitting, or stains. All 3 records have brilliant labels and playing surfaces, all 6 sides are near pristine, I noticed only a few faint spindle trails on a few labels, all 6 playing surfaces have a deep gloss shine and just a small handful of light surface scuffs here and there that do not affect play, no groove wear, scratches, defects, cracks, etc. This is a wonderful find in nice CONDITION: BINDER VG + + / 3 RECORDS NM - - .
