Description

A very rare Demo from Duncan Browne of Resurrection Joe / The Final Asylum, I can't find one on the internet for sale,it seems hard to find even in the original retail format. Cat number Bell Records - BLL 1119. I have graded this as Very Good plus but I think it could be graded higher but I stick to my grading so as not to disappoint buyer. Please look at images and hover over to see condition. It is hard to photograph records without reflections as you may know but I have done the best I can. The record plays perfect with no scratch noise at-all on both sides.
No bidders with only 0 to 2 feedback please unless you contact me. UK Bidders only unless you contact me. I will cancel bids if you ignore this so please ask first.
Below is a random opinion of this recording, it is not mine. Thank you for your interest and if you are going to bid good luck.
Personally I think this is one of the loveliest singles Duncan Browne ever made. While the Aside, "Resurrection Joe", is composed by Duncan, Tom Yates and David Morgan, the Bside, "The Final Asylum" is by Duncan & Tom. Although Tom Yates was involved neither side is truly folk, more pop in Paul McCartney style. Its quasi-apocalyptic atmosphere puts it in the vicinity of Duncan's second self-titled album. The record is a lasting monument of the beauty the late Duncan and the late Tom were able to create. This 7 inch was a one off for the Bell Company. Alas, it never charted. It is fairly rare nowadays. The two songs are not on any vinyl album but both can be heard on 2 CDs of Duncan Browne.
