Beethoven "Kreutzer Sonata Columbia M-596 78s
All 78s are listened to fully from beginning to end before grading!
Fantastic recording from two Titans. Visually EX except for Side 2,3 and 6 which are more VG+ with a one-inch scratch at beginning of side 2. All sides have nice shine. Sonically EX+ with consistent background sound, almost no pops, really clean copy. Side 2 is VG/VG+ with light scratch and 20 seconds of recurring ticks that are drastically overpowered by the music. Rest of side plays great. Sides 3 and 6 play much better than their visual grading. Side 4 has a section of increased background noise lasting 20+ seconds. Otherwise, album plays great and was a real joy to hear. Cover displays quite well at EX- with light discoloring on parts of front, back, and inside cover (see photos.)
This is from a very large collection of rare 78 Classical records that I will be selling over time. Comes from a selective collector who specialized in string instrument music with artists such as Eugene Ysaye, Fritz Kreisler, Joseph Szigeti, Jascha Heifetz, Ida Haendal, Ossy Renardy, Mischal Elman, Pablo Casals, Pierre Fournier, Busch and Budapest Quartets, etc. Includes significant collections of turn-of-the-century violinists such as Maud Powell, Kathleen Parlow, etc. The vast majority of records are pristine. All records are fully played tested and cleaned using Audio Inteligent solutions on a VPI 16.5. Please check back as I will be listing new items on a recurring basis.
