Description
The Alan Bown ! London/Deram LabeL 18032 Promotional Copy rubber stamped on front of gatefold sleeve.
Disc very good plus .Sleeve Good to very good.
This is the original recording of the band's album on the US Deram label with the original Jess Roden vocal prior to Robert Palmer recording his voice for the british Deram release.
The album was released in America to coincide with a projected promotional tour for the band in the Autumn of 1969.
The album gatefold sleeve has images of both Roden and Palmer in order to introduce Palmer [who by then was rehearsing with the band] to the American public, however his vocals are not on this disc.
Other slight differences are Roden being credited as Jeremey Roden, some slightlylonger tracks, some studio banter,"Still as stone" instead of "My friend", and lyrics and images of theband on the inner side of the gatefold sleeve.
These recordings ,except for "Still as stone", have never been released in the United Kingdom with Roden vocals.
This album is the rarest of the Alan Bown rcordigs and a must for all Jess Roden fans.
