Description
Wonderful rare desert Arizona Soul 45 by THE SLIDING DOORS (aka Eddie & Ernie) titled "Self Service" b/w "Found A Love, Where It's At" on the Body label #101. Produced by Hadley "Who Loves You Madley" Murrell in 1964 and also released nationally that same year on the 20th Century Fox label as by The New Bloods! There are clips of the New Bloods record on You Tube now if you don't know this one. (Trivia: Self Service was covered by the garage band The Caravelles in 1966.) Two powerful soul ballads by the Dynamic Duo of Eddie & Ernie, with a young Pete Cosey-guitar (Miles Davis) and Rich Cason-keyboards (Dyke) in the band. Murrell doesn't remember why he put this record out as by the Sliding Doors. This particular copy was hanging on the wall at Audio Recorders of Arizona for many years before being boxed up (with many other cool records) when the business was sold in 1991. Condition: VG+ with drill hole. Northern R&B Deep Soul Sam & Dave
See scans. This is a 45 rpm record. Good Luck.
