BLINKERS

Hello Blinkers / Goodnight Blinkers

--------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the almost certainly the rarest 10cc / Mockingbirds related 45rpm that you will ever see...
(...their previous five singles to this 45 were released under the name of 'The Mockingbirds' )

For a link to the only other known copy of this ultra-rare 45rpm to
appear for auction on Ebay (...or anywhere else for that matter !!! )
. . .please copy the following 'popsike' html link into your browser

http://www.popsike.com/php/detaildatar.php?itemnr=260827054514

or search the 'popsike' website for 'Blinkers'
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Description

Both labels on this rare 45rpm  appear to be 'water damaged' and the printed surfaces of

the label are very fragile with loose flaking of the surface printing gloss on both sides...

( ...label damage occured before  we obtained of this record  - please see pictures - )

This record is slightly dished, and it is also uneven on rotation
but plays fine both sides with the tracking set at 1.75 grammes
on our Technics 1210 -

No whooshing or thumping is audible, and both of the tracks sound great with
only a few light pops and a few light clicks at the end of 'Hello Blinkers' ...

please listen to both sides in the player above

There is some visible light patchy dullness to surface laquer gloss
on the 'Hello Blinkers' side, a few light scuffs, and one or two very
occasional light marks / hairlines to the surface laquer.

The 'Goodnight Blinkers' side nice glossy vinyl with a
few light scuffs and one or two very occasional light
marks / hairlines to the surface laquer.

"We were commissioned to write a signature tune
for a new Manchester night club called "Blinkers"
which was  used to  promote the club,  and played
there  when  it  opened  for  the night  and  when it
closed,  we got paid £100 for that."  - Kevin Godley

ABOUT US

The name 'snogdogs' does not refer to bizarre behaviour, or niche
sporting activities   (...it is simply the name of one of our cats  ; )

    <~~~~~~~~~~~~<<<< @ >>>>~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

...And when it comes to accurate assessment of both condition and sound quality   ~  We don't mess about   ; )

We have been ebay members for a very long time, and have very many satisfied and regular customers.

We have been both collecting and DJ-ing vinyl for well over 30 years and have a lot of experience in
collecting and grading all sorts of records for our own listening pleasure ...and also to DJ as well.

We have very many 10's of 1000's of LP's, E.P's, 45's & 78 rpm's covering all genres...

From time to time we offer various selections of records for auction upon ebay
so as to help downsize both our extensive DJ, and personal archive collections....

These ebay 'disposals' also help make our collections far more
managable by releasing items we no longer use or listen to...

This ongoing process also helps free up extra storage space
for new aquisitions - as we are still collecting and DJ-ing  ; )

We have auctioned a lot of records (inc. test pressings & acetates) on Ebay.

Notable rare examples include :-

Davie Jones & the King Bees  'Liza Jane'   (UK Vocalion)  / Tom Robinson's 1975 GLF E.P. /
prog rock & psych ~ Vikings Invasion / May Blitz / July / etc  ..also many other rare records
inc. private pressings, reggae, folk, spoken word, classical, ambient, and jazz recordings.

If you are a DJ, a serious collector of rare records, or a music lover who enjoys spinning vinyl
and has taken a fancy to something or other that we have up here for auction here on Ebay...

We always want you to enjoy the very best in sound reproduction and offer honest descriptions.

This is because snogsdogs takes both 'customer service' and satisfaction very seriously...

So whether the items here are listed as "guaranteed mint unplayed" ( or otherwise graded), we will always clean ALL
of our records  [except acetates]  using our  LORICRAFT PRC 4  MK II  professional cleaning machine using specialist
'L'Art du Son' and the very best lab. quality de-mineralised UV treated water available... in order to remove all traces
of dust and other micro-particles, that may adversely affect sound reproduction & audio enjoyment of your record.

We consider the  LORICRAFT PRC 4  MK II  to be an excellent machine, especially for 45's, and these machines
are also widely used and regarded by very many collectors and archivists worldwide as being the
world's finest 'BBC quality' professional / audiophile record cleaning machines...

For further info. on Loricraft machines and how they operate, simply search in your browsers
for '   Loricraft Audio PRC3/4/5/6 Professional Record Cleaners '   or go to   garrard501.com

<~~~~~~~~~~~~<<<< @ >>>>~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

All 45's & LP's are carefully packed & sent out in quality mailers with  protective corrugated card spacers,
...brittle 78 rpm's are carefully sandwiched in-between polystyrene & corrugated card spacers etc...

<~~~~~~~~~~~~<<<< @ >>>>~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

WE OFFER LOW START ON ALL 45's & LP's  &  NO HIDDEN RESERVE

<~~~~~~~~~~~~<<<< @ >>>>~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

BID WITH CONFIDENCE ~ WE DO NOT END AUCTIONS EARLY

<~~~~~~~~~~~~<<<< @ >>>>~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

Unless listed as guaranteed MINT unplayed - we generally test all records for sound quality before being
offered for sale via  BBC studio reference quality Rodgers Studio 1A monitors and a variety of decks.

Decks  used include - Project / Thorens fitted with Shure eliptical 'supertrack' needles tracking at 0.75 to 1 gramme,
or sometimes a similar set up with Technics 1210's & eliptical needles ...we also use various types of amps.

<~~~~~~~~~~~~<<<< @ >>>>~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

We do not 'skim'... nor do we use other nasty horrible noxious chemicals or 'patent' polishes to clean-up our records...

<~~~~~~~~~~~~<<<< @ >>>>~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

As collectors ourselves... We truly care about all of our customers and try to grade all of our records conservatively.

<~~~~~~~~~~~~<<<< @ >>>>~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

We have no interest in inflating the stated quality of either the vinyl or audio reproduction
just in order to 'make a sale' ...and want all of our customers to enjoy top-quality records !!!
