Description

This is an excellent example of a rare first pressing of

Please Please Me

 by

the Beatles

on the Gold and Black Parlophone label (PMC1202). One of the most rare and sought-after Beatles records!!

It comes with the original polythene-lined ‘Use Emitex’ die-cut inner sleeve and E.J.Day cover with Angus Bean photo credit at bottom right.

The sleeve is in very good condition (see photos) with some bumping to the corners and slight rubbing commensurate with its age.

The record has ‘The Parlophone Co.Ltd.’ label text but without ‘Sold in the U.K…’ with matrix numbers XEX 421-IN and XEX 422-IN and ‘Dick James Mus.Co.‘ credits.

I have recently played this record and the sound quality is very good; no pops, crackles or jumping. There are some light surface marks but these do not affect the playback quality.

I have had this record in my possession since it was first released in 1963 and have tried to be as accurate as possible in my description.

No reserve on this item!

The record will be mailed in polythene cover, bubblewrap, stiffeners and cruciform mailer.

P.&P in U.K. is £3.00 ;  £3.75 Europe; £6.00 U.S.A.

Please add £1 for recorded delivery.

Thank you for your interest - happy bidding!
