Rare Bird - self-titled 1st LP UK 1969 pink scroll Charisma CAS 1005 VG/VG

Description

Presentable 1st pressing copy of Rare Bird's debut album from 1969. This is certainly not a perfect copy but will do fine until that NM copy comes along. Matrices are CAS+1005+A+A+G/CAS+1005+B+G.

Single sleeve VG Front laminated. Light creasing to the front. Some wear and rubbing to the bottom edge. Otherwise intact and in good order.

Labels  Ex Early rough-textured. Moderate spindlewear. Very clean indeed.

Inner  New polylined bag.

Record  Visually VG+, light marks and scuffs. One feelable 2cm light scratch on Side 2 (see photo). The vinyl still looks nice and shiny however. The audio is generally decent but rather crackly at times. The scratch produces some light clicks. There are also two 1-second jumps on Side 2 (during Beautiful Scarlet and Bird On A Wing). Overall playgrade is VG-, still a good listen after 47 years!

I grade all records strictly using the 'Record Collector' guide.
