Description
This is an Lp of fathers. It is Stravinsky Petrushka ANSERMET on Decca Sterephonic. I am quite used to buying and grading records and have had no complaint thus far in this regard. However, I do realise in thisclassical market, condition is of paramount importance. I have played this record and it plays well. In comparison to the sleeve, vinyl is actually better, having been preserved in its original inner - see photo. Under light I can see a few light trails and on my sensitive Technics deck it betrays a LITTLE hiss. To my untrained ear its not obtrusive. If this was say a Rock or Pop album I'd have absolutely no hesitation in grading it VG plus. But like I say, Im erring on the side of caution. Onto the sleeve - inner sleeve is great with its antistatic liner. The outer sleeve has lightish shelfwear and in one corner laminate is starting to peel away. I may seem pedantic but I genunely want to avoid trouble down the line. By starting the auction at 99p it is not a reflection on the value, simply my belief that the ebay buyers will determine any items true worth, not me. All in all , a very nice vintage LP and a collectible pressing, but if you seek Mint items, please, respectfully, do not bid. Postage in the UK is 4.00GBP in proper heavy duty mailer.
