Rare David Bowie Ziggy Stardust Promo Package LP RYKO

This is something both rare and wonderful- A super-limited promotional press kit Ryko release of David Bowie’s Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars in an unusual LP/CD kit! This edition was designed to promote the new deluxe editions of Ryko’s SOUND + VISION ongoing series. This album provides information and inserts describing the releases in lieu of the usual liner notes. Very cool! This package also comes with an included photocopy of the Rolling Stone magazine interview with Bowie that ran during their “100 best albums of the last 20 years” series. The LP and the CD both contain the entire album and the 5 bonus tracks.

This is truly something so uncommon and impressive, (not to mention something in such incredible condition) that I’m actually proud to be selling it. Do not sit this one out!

The Vinyl is in Near Mint Condition. There are no scuffs, scratches, radials, sleeve burn or anything else that might spoil the perfection of this LP. The album plays through perfectly, with almost no noise, pops or crackling. It sounds great! The labels are free of markings, scratches scrapes or dings.

The jacket is VG+, there are a few signs that it has been handled, but for the most part, this album has been taken care of really well. There are some seam creases, and a little ring wear (see my pictures for more detail), but for the most part, this record is in beautiful condition inside and out. Remember, a common synonym used by collectors and dealers for "Very Good Plus" is "Excellent!"

Now here’s the thing about the CD: It comes in a plastic slip case which as become adhered to the top of the disc. My careful attempts to separate the two have led to dangers of the CD’s label partially peeling away. So I have left it sealed in there. Of course, what this means is that I have no assurance that the CD is as perfect as the LP- only the assumption that it is. So here’s what I propose. If you, the winning bidder, remove the CD and find that it does not play through properly or for some reason does not meet your standards, simply return the item to me and I will give you a full refund, minus shipping costs. I am quite confidant that the worst you will find is a bit of the  paint peels off, but if you feel this situation is something you are not comfortable with, I would kindly ask that you do not bid on this item.
