Description

~ JOHNNY GRECO AND THE VANDELLS - GLORIA ~

PLEASE CHECK MY OTHER AUCTIONS AS I AM LISTING A COMPANION 45 BY JOHNNY GRECO – SILLY FOOL / I JUST CAN’T STAND LOSING YOU ON KYRA RECORDS. SHIPPING CHARGES WILL BE COMBINED/REDUCED IF YOU WIN BOTH RECORDS.

I typically will not list any record with a grade below VG unless it rare or at least very difficult to find. This is one of those cases. The condition of the “A” side is poor and on first glance it appears unplayable. I was pleasantly surprised when I plopped it on my turntable and it played straight through without a skip. There IS background noise of course but it does not over power the song. The “B” side, “I Dunno” plays better with much less audible noise and the appearance is also much better. Both are great songs. “Gloria’ is a classic slow dance song while “I Dunno’ is an instrumental and has a great R&B groove.

Far-Mel was a regional, Pittsburgh area label, that I believe was run by Walt Maddox. The record will be packed carefully and shipped in a 45 mailer with two stiff cardboard inserts. Please contact me with any questions prior to bidding.

THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK!
