Description
This is a very rare Elvis demo record of “Return To Sender” / “Where Do You Come From”. Yet another Number One disc, it was pressed in Nov 1962 by Decca Records on behalf of RCA Records and was pressed with a "knock-out" centre. This was the first Elvis demo release where Decca used a large silver “A” to denote the top side. It was also the last Elvis demo to be printed with black text on dark green label with only the RCA logo. After this, the releases were with the RCA Victor logo.
The label shows the studio recording matrix numbers N2PW 3279 and 3274 together with the RCA 1320 UK catalogue number. Approximately 100 copies were pressed and sent out to Radio Luxembourg / BBC Radio disc jockeys and record reviewers for NME and Record Mirror. The DJ has written the times on both sides of the label. The vinyl/sound is really excellent for a disc which is 45 years old. This title is not regularly seen and is a "must have" collector’s item especially if you collect Elvis demos.
