Description

Rare!!    Elvis Presley.  ( Loving You )

Radio Recorders Acetate 78 rpm.

(  Misprint. )   Main Movie Track.    January 1957.   Dual sided 78.

Something For The Girls.

From everything that I've been able to find out.    This was recorded as the Main Movie Track.    Recorded on, Thursday, January 17th 1957.

This is Not in perfect condition.

It has some scratches.  ( Please see photos )

There are a few bubbled areas where the lacquer is messed up towards the edge.  ( Please see photos ).

On one side, the label is also split, but, it's still intact.

( Please see photos )

The label's aren't perfect, but, they're still in decent condition for their life, and, age.

This is also, Untested.     And, This may be playable?    However, these are different animals.   Since this is an Acetate, it will wear down from regular use on a normal record player.    They would cut these while recording, so these lacquers, as they call them, are basically the recordings of the song, that you would eventually get on the album, when they're released to the public.

This is an aluminum disc, used to cut the track, that has lacquer sprayed on the surface.   & With it's age, possible heat, and, who knows what, that's why it bubbled on the edge.

There is also some glue from the label that is smeared around the label.   Possibly from getting warm?    So it had to go somewhere.   And, It doesn't appear to be on the playing surface, only around the label.

Despite some flaws.   This is a super cool, very rare item.    Record Recorders disc's were not available, or, intended, for the general public.   In this case, this is the movie's, main song track, for the film.    That of which,  was a keeper.   Main 1.   They done a handful of different versions of the same song.    This is the song from the movie.

It is also a Misprint.

They labeled it, Elvis Presley Bass& Guitar.    Then, they marked out, Bass.

Far as I know, Elvis only recorded bass on one song, ever.  ( & there may be more songs he played bass on?    ( and, with recent, continued research September 23, Elvis Did play bass. )    He rarely recorded guitar.    ( Although, he did record the acoustic on the early Sun Sessions ).   But, shortly after, He had Studio musicians everywhere that he recorded/gigged with.   So to the best of my knowledge, whomever was typing that day was in a hurry, and, created a typo etc etc.     And, I failed to mention there is a phone number, on the label, as well.  Which, is pretty visible, but, I thought I should mention it anyways.

I believe this is a piece that should be in a nice protective frame.    This is a piece of behind the scenes, music history, even though, it's not perfect.    It's still very cool, and, it's very rare.

Lastly, along with anything else that I've sold, this, in particular, will be shipped extremely well.        I will not accept returns on this item, after it's sold.   You're buying this Acetate 78, As Is.   I described the item to best of my ability, and, shared the knowledge that I have of it.

I hope you enjoy it!

Thank you!
