Rare RCA Victor 16-inch one-sided white label Electrical Transcription. . . Old Gold Program from December 1933 or January 1934 Starring Fred Waring & His Pennsylvanians, featuring The Lane Sisters, Tom Waring, and David Ross announcing. This is Part 1 - the beginning of a live broadcast, recorded by direct line . . . Victor mx. MS-81261-1 . . Pressed in Victrolac ("use 3 ounce pressure on needle point" ! ) Numbers include: "Heigh Ho The Gang's All Here - let's have pretzels, let's have beer" peppy number from MGM film 'Dancing Lady' . . . then unknown number. . . then "Fare Thee Well To Harlem". . . Stuart Churchill sings "Roses Of Picardy", followed by announcer David Ross doing an Old Gold Commercial. . . after which follow 2 songs from play 'As Thousands Cheer'. . . "Easter Parade" w/ Tom Waring vocal refrain. . "Not For All The Rice In China" with vocal duet by Rosemary Lane and Ton Waring. . . disc ends before finish of number. Condition looks about E- . . plays strong and clear with nice sound. Minor scratches cause some clicks and crackling.
