Description
Rare HMV mono LP, ALP 1104, Brahms Violin Concerto, GIOCONDA De Vito, violin, with the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Rudolf Schwarz.
Laminated, flip back sleeve has suffered some laminate loss and lift due to extensive creasing and a seam split at the bottom edge, with quite a bit of opening edge wear. Structure has remained intact, and colour is good. Overall, the sleeve grades Good plus.
Vinyl has light but obvious hairline marks on both sides, more so on side 2, with just a few more obvious scratch marks, but the audio is really very strong, despite light crackle throughout both sides, and regular clicks an pops. The record plays through on both sides with no sticks or jumps, and displays De Vito's talent very clearly.
Not a perfect copy by any means, but as this is such a rarity, one that I had to offer. Overall the vinyl grades VG visually, and VG minus for audio.
If the final price demands it, I will have to add an extra shipping charge to cover insurance for secure transit.
