Description

The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid.  The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's.  An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored.  These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay.  With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await.  My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner.  I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed.  I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find.   All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Bethlehem deep groove MONO vinyl LP BCP 6055 - released 1961
Vinyl is excellent.  May have been played once or twice previously: two small spindle marks side one, zero on side two.  No handling or play markings on vinyl.  Play tested once on high end equipment for sound assessment.  Beautiful.  The sound is crisp and clear with presence and depth, as was meant.  There are are very few occasional light clicks which can be assumed as vinyl inherent.  Having play tested a number of Bethlehem LPs this one stands out as a superior pressing.  One of the coolest sounding records yet from this amazing collection!  The cover is VG.  Very little shelf or ring wear on the laminated cover.  The rear cover is bone white.  However, there is a 3" split top right seam and a 2" seam split lower right seam (see photos).  There's also some edge wear consistent with age.  The corners have small stubs with the lower right corner having a small bend to it (front only).  The splits aren't flabby and the cover holds together very nicely.  The cover anomalies are unfortunate but it is well constructed from sturdy cardboard and remains a fine housing unit for this fantastic -and rare- LP!
