Hi there and welcome to my auction. I'm listing several rare 1st press Hendrix albums (best thing to do in a lock down!). Well rare due to condition as they are mostly near mint/Excellent 1st pressings. The Beatles records came from the estate of an obsessive Paul McCartney fan who was told to stop hassling him! She followed him round the world during his World Tour 89/90 and taped every concert! Had the tapes and sold them on, sound quality was shocking! Every radio interview from the late 80's onwards, Crazy stuff. Anyway these are the last few albums that i kept hold of but now seems a good time to sell them.

Mega rare Hendrix Album In Excellent condition and wonderful sound. This is the mega rare Blue type version with first press matrix numbers and the correct hand altered/scratched out numbers/letters. (see images)
This is the original UK copy from 1968, on the Track label (I think i'm right in saying that the blue type press versions, although by far the rarest and most valuable they are not the 1st pressing, these would be the white type with smaller press photos)
The vinyl is graded as Excellent. It's shiny and glossy with only some faint hairlines and removal scuffs that can only be seen in strong light or sunlight.

Labels: NM. Labels are  in superb condition with a  lovely finish, no fading marks or scratches, just some very faint spindle marks. Although disc 2 barely has an marks to from the spindle with nothing on side B and one faint one on side C.
Outer Sleeve: VG+. The laminated gatefold sleeve is in very good condition with several small areas of laminate creasing to the front cover and you can see some light ring wear if you angle it to the light.  The laminate is coming away a bit along the inner folded spine and consequently makes a creasing/crackling noise when it opens.
The internal gatefold is clean and glossy with with a few creases to the laminate but overall it's excellent as is the back cover which again has slight ring wear if you look closely and the laminate is starting to lift along the edges very slightly. Corners of the spine have slight wear.  If you look closely you can see the ghosting of the original incorrect print out of line with the blue. Hendrix is on the lefthand side if you open out the gatefold, again this is significant as he appears on the right on many other copies.
The inner sleeves - One is original and has 108 on it, i don't think the other one is original as it doesn't have the 098 or 108 which indicate Sept 1968 or Oct 1968.
The following is the exact matrix numbers stamped and scratched on the runout wax so please make note of this as i think they are very significant. I have tried to show images of them as well. I think they show that it is an early pressing of this blue type press. It seems to differ from many of the other blue type versions which end with A1 B2 A2 B2

This is a superb condition example and should be treasured and revered. Kept in this condition, it would prove a wise investment. Vinyl has seen a sharp increase in value in the last 10 years and it's these iconic classics in this condition that will keep rising. True antiques of the future and ones that can be enjoyed, albeit carefully!
