Michael Jackson E.T. Storybook Edition

Hard to Find for True Michael Collector !!!

In 1982 Michael Jackson narrated E.T., the album, for MCA records. Shortly after it’s release it was pulled from the stores on legal grounds. Michael was under contract with another recording company at the time. Album includes the much sought after song titled Someone in the Dark

Someone in the Dark written and composed by Michael Jackson was orginally released on the E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial storybook album in November 1983. The song was scheduled for a singles release by MCA even though Michael's record company had only allowed Michael to narrate and record on the album if album was released after Christmas and no singles were released. However, MCA released some promo copies to radio stations so court action ensued and no singles release was allowed. The Someone in the Dark promos became and still are highly sought after records. The singles promo's have a picture cover with Michael and E.T. The song was to be featured on a greatest hits compilation Decade 1980 - 1990 album which was never released.

All items are in mint condition and were never removed from the box. Record was never played and poster was never hung. Shrink wrap is tearing and box shows some wear around the edges. Pictures are from another unit.
